Britt Beresik

With over 25 years of dance experience, you can not keep this lady off the dance floor! Britt first started line dancing in Gaylord, MI in 2013 but has continued pursuing this passion with every job relocation to West Texas (Cross The Line Dancing- West Texas founding member), to Northern California, and back to her hometown of Houston. Outside of dance, Britt is a busy mom of 2 and a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist. She is currently the lead instructor for her group Cross The Line Dancing-Houston and choreographs dances with the guidance of Rob Fowler's I.C.E. program.





Elsa Villarreal Campbell & Leroy Lough

Elsa is a native Texan with strong Hispanic roots whose parents loved music and dancing. It was not uncommon to see her parents dancing at the VFW Hall every Saturday night. With dancing in her genes she fell in love with line dancing at her first class over 25 yrs ago and her love for line dancing has remained. Throughout her line dance history she has taught age groups from 5 yrs olds to 90 years old, in small and large groups, in community centers and in bars from Absolute Beginner to High Intermediate level. During normal times she has 3 classes in West U, hosts a Sunday Social quarterly and has a monthly Friday Fun Dance Day in Evelyn's Park. During the Pandemic she has a Friday Fun Dance Day on Facebook Live from her Home studio.

Leroy is the Yellow Rose DJ and supports Elsa with all her dance related activities. Elsa met Leroy more than 20 years ago while taking 2-Step lessons and the rest, as they say, is history.

Cassandra Gibson-Jones

Cassie grew up in a newspaper family and started her career producing local TV news in Houston, Texas. The arrival of children forced a change of career, so she began teaching. When her family relocated to Melbourne, Australia, she took up line dance. Upon her return to Texas, she began teaching line dance in The Woodlands. Her classes focus on ballroom technique. She loves dance and hopes to never have a change of career again.



Michelle Schroeder

Michelle Schroeder, is an experienced dance instructor with over 36 years of teaching various forms of dance to students of all ages! Michelle set in motion her love of dance at age three when she began dance lessons at a dance studio in Houston, TX. This passion followed her to Sam Houston State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching Dance and finished university life with a Master of Arts in Dance Performance, Instruction and Choreography. Michelle’s fulltime career was teaching dance in public, fine arts schools throughout Houston for over thirty years. In addition, she has taught social dance styles like two-step, polka, western waltz and swing (east coast swing) to adults for recreation, weddings and special events. Her current love for line dancing has led her to teach classes & workshops to all ages over the past several years in Houston and currently in New Braunfels and Schertz, TX. She is also the director and lead instructor for the NB Lone Star Line Dancers who perform at community & retirement centers. Her motto is “Never Miss a Chance to Dance”.

Lark & Gordon Small

Gordon started dancing in 1985 and it quickly became a passion. He picked up a few line dances along the way but his main interest was Country 2-Step and West Coast Swing. Gordon and Lark met in 1999, married and ended up in Kentucky in 2003. They started dancing at a local dance hall which led to an interest in line dancing. Gordon started teaching line dance at the local community center in 2005 and has been teaching since then. Gordon was teaching Improver/Intermediate line dance at the Tomball Community Center for several years until everything shut down because of the pandemic.

Lark is keeping track of the registrations and helping with other activities for the Yellow Rose Line Dancers.
